What we've done
Inspired by the SpaceX Falcon 9 landings, the UConn Propulsive Landing team was founded in the summer of 2020. Initially starting as a personal project, it quickly become an engineering project team in Fall 2020.
Since then, we have steadily grown our team, both in number and technical experience. With that came a series of successful tests, namely:
Since then, we have steadily grown our team, both in number and technical experience. With that came a series of successful tests, namely:
- September 2021: First stable control test.
- March 2022: First control test to achieve our desired settling time and steady-state error criteria.
- May 2022: First drop test, resulting in a near landing.
